Letter B - Bloor St.
This is one weird looking dude!
Meet Joseph Bloore. Born in 1789, this wild-eyed Englishman operated both an inn near the St. Lawrence Market and a brewery near Bloor and Sherbourne Sts. after arriving in Canada around 1819. Bloore also played a key role in the founding of the village — yes, village — of Yorkville. The road leading from Bloore’s brewery to Yorkville was named after him in 1855. Bloore himself died in 1862. It is not known when the ‘e’ was dropped from the street’s name.
Bloor St. is full of unique neighbourhoods. There is the Bloor West area, BSN Bloor St. Neighbourhood, Bloor Yorkville.
I worked in the Bloor and Yonge area for years and loved the diversity.

On the southeast corner of Yonge and Bloor when I worked here was the aging three-storey structure that housed City Optical and a Harvey's burger joint, and in its place stands the construction site for one of Toronto's largest new high-rise developments at 75 floors.
There's a bank on every corner.
Bloor St is always busy.
There is the Bloor Danforth subway line which I took almost everyday of my working life in Toronto.
We lived at Greenwood stop for over twenty years. I've worked at the Bay St. stop, Islington stop, St. Andrew stop and then used Mississauga transit from Islington over the years.
Our closest stop now is Old Mill.
Some not uncommon sights on this subway line. Pigeons birds.

It's a very long street. I know that church quite well.

The photo of the person himself looks odd indeed... maybe William is right?
