Monday in North Carolina

A leisurely morning and then we head out.

Outside our condo

Where we are

Crystal Coast Beaufort, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach,
Salter Path, Emerald Isle, Cape Lookout, Harkers Island, Swansboro

It's |Monday and we set out to explore the area. We head down to the Crystal Coast as the Outer banks off the coast are named. We are close to Havelock and cross the bridge to head towards Morehead City.

We crossed over the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway and drove the coast line which is about 25 miles long. Lots and lots of beautiful houses lining both sides of the water but not many places to stop.
Mullet Festival next weekend - a must do for us!

We are driving along and DH stops the car in the middle of the road and is shouting at me to get out with my camera and look behind!!
We find a public access location and park the car to walk the beach in Emerald Isle.

 Ready for a day's work

Lunch!! At the amazing Crab's Claw!!! And to think we actually drove away the first time to find something else but came back!

 My conch fritters

Clam chowder
Our steamer pot - combo with king crab, clams, shrimps, mussels, carrots, potatoes, corn on the cob served with jalapeno bread!

Another walk on the beach - much needed!

Back at the condo and a stroll to the marina at sunset
