I was reminded of this when reading a blog where the woman stated she would be carrying more stationary products.
Stationary according to Merriam’s Dictionary means “standing still” “not moving”.
Stationery according to the same source means “writing paper” and “writing materials, as in notepads, pens, pencils, paper and envelopes”.
By the way, while looking for funny cartoons I almost died laughing when I googled stationary and got a bunch of stationery hits.
